People often ask who should consider coaching and on what topics. I believe anyone can come to coaching if they feel they need support to discuss an issue, make a decision, or implement a change. Come as you are, with a topic that is important to you and worth your effort. All questions are welcome, whether they are personal or related to work, leadership, relationships, development, career, future plans, or other matters.
Coaching Approach
Coaching is an honest and confidential conversation. It involves a creative approach and sometimes experimenting and learning from experiences. Primarily, you will be the one speaking and acting. I will listen, reflect, ask questions, make your focus visible, and provide various tools to help you achieve clarity and your set goals.
Coaching is not about teaching or giving advice. It is an opportunity to find answers to your questions with the coach's support, primarily relying on your intuition and wisdom, getting to know your resources better, and harnessing your potential. The most impactful work happens after the meetings, when your thoughts have settled, and you begin to fulfill the promises you've made to yourself, assess the outcomes and satisfaction, and occasionally make adjustments to your plans.
Generally, coaching works best as a series (three to six sessions), but sometimes a single spark from one meeting is enough: for instance, when facing a dilemma, wanting to analyze a personality test you've taken, or setting a development plan based on feedback received.
The work begins once we’ve agreed on goals, expectations, and a schedule. If you wish, we can arrange a preliminary meeting before starting the coaching process. This allows you to see if our collaboration is a good fit. Sessions can also be conducted virtually or even during a walk.
Through coaching, your confidence, self-awareness, and satisfaction will grow. You will know why and where you are heading and how you might reach your chosen goal. You will have ideas about what to do and how to tackle obstacles that arise. Best of all, you will have a coach, your personal supporter, who helps you succeed.
